The Queen Anne Elementary PTSA is excited to launch our annual Explorer Fund Drive. Between May 28th and June 14th, our goal is to raise $35,000 directly from our QAE Parent and Caregiver Community.
This year's Explorer Fund Drive looks a little different than in the past, as 100% of money raised will fund additional staffing at QAE for the 2024-25 school year.
Each spring, the QAE PTSA decides whether to commit to a staffing grant for the following school year. The staffing grant is an agreement we make with SPS in which we pay for additional staffing and support to our school, beyond what is provided by the district. With the funds raised during our Explorer Fund Drive, we hope to provide the following for the 2024-25 school year:
- 1 half-time Art/Maker Space Specialist - The district funds a half-time Art Specialist at QAE. By funding an additional half-time position, the PTSA enables QAE students to maintain their current access to our art/maker space classroom.
- 1 Reading Specialist
- 2 Classroom Tutors
- 1 Playground Supervisor
