Cowabunga, dudes and dudettes! You'll want to join us for the annual QAE PTSA auction—a bodacious night that will make a huge difference in the lives of our children, while celebrating everything that makes QAE so special.
This year we're doing it in style with a radical 80s theme! Costumes optional but encouraged!
You’ll be part of a tubular group of people rallying around the kids to provide them with social-emotional learning, reading and math specialists, supplies, and so much more (see the PTSA fundraising page to learn more about the programs we fund).
There will be a silent auction, a live auction, dancing and righteous celebrity auctioneers: Chris and Pat Cashman!
The Date:
Saturday, March 9
The Location:
Fremont Foundry
The Timeline:
5:00 - 6:45: Check-in, cocktails, and silent auction
7:00 - 8:30: Dinner
8:00 - 9:00: Live Auction
9:00 - Midnight: 80s Dance Party with music by DJ Baby van Beezly!
AS OF FEBRUARY 17, ALL TICKET SALES ARE NOW CLOSED
What is the QAE Auction?
The auction is our biggest fundraiser--and biggest party--of the year! It's a chance for care-givers, teachers, staff, and neighbors to come together for a night of dinner, dancing, community-building, and celebrating our wonderful school.
Who can come to the auction?
Anyone who loves our school! In addition to QAE families and staff, neighbors, friends and extended family are welcome to purchase tickets to attend the celebration. Please note that the auction is an adults-only event.
How can I purchase tickets? Are there pricing options?
Tickets will be made available in January and we will have tiered pricing levels. Order your tickets before February 10 to get early-bird pricing ($10 off) and guaranteed a set of custom sunglasses the night of the event! Note that all ticket sales end February 17.
Why are you closing ticket sales so early?
Our venue is requiring a final attendance count on February 18 so they can plan for food, drinks, etc. Thus, we need everyone to buy their tickets by the previous day.
What if I don't want to bid on auction items?
That's okay, just come and eat dinner, dance your heart out, and connect with other members of our amazing QAE community.
Do I have to wear 80s attire?
Members Only jackets and side ponies are certainly encouraged, but not required. Wear what you'd like and come join the party.
What happens to the money we raise?
The money raised at the auction helps support many things for our students, including reading specialists, classroom tutors, PE equipment, community events such as Bingo Night and Culture Night, Islandwood, and more. To promote equity across our district, the QAE PTSA also contributes to the Southeast Seattle Schools Fundraising Alliance. A more complete list of PTSA-supported programs can be found here.
I can't attend the auction. Is there another way I can participate in this fundraiser?
Absolutely. There are many ways to support the QAE auction listed below. Have another idea that isn't included? Email auction2@qaeptsa.org.
I can't login into the auction. I get an error that my account isn't recognized, but I had one last year.
SchoolAuction.net maintains a separate user database for each auction. You'll need to create a new account for this year using the "Sign Up" link at the top of this page.
